BBC's Public Purposes Seminar
20 July 2004
This first seminar opened the programme with a broad look at the BBC's public purposes. The purpose of the seminar was to set a broad context for the seminar series, and introduce themes which will be explored throughout the autumn. The Secretary of State, Tessa Jowell opened the seminar by launching 'What You Said About the BBC', the findings from DCMS's consultation and research.
