2004 Charter Review Seminars

Lord Burns and his panel held a series of seminars to debate a number of key issues for Charter review, which were identified through the public consultation and research.

The seminars took place at DCMS in front of a small invited audience, which included industry experts and representatives, as well as members of the public. The programme of seminars started on 20 July and finished on 3 December 2004.

The BBC broadcast these seminars live on the internet via web streams. To watch the panel debate the issues, view archived webstreams of these seminars at: www.bbc.co.uk/thefuture/seminars/dcms_seminars.shtm

The outcome of these seminars has played a key role in developing themes for the panel's advice to the Secretary of State. They have also played a role in helping to develop themes for the Green Paper.
