The Revised Draft Royal Charter for the Continuation of the British Broadcasting Corporation and the Revised Draft Agreement Between the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and the British Broadcasting Corporation has been published for debate in the House of Lords.
They are amended versions of the drafts published on 14 March 06 and embody further work by the Government and the outcome of a public consultation process. The Charter and Agreement are now in near-final form. However, a small number of detailed points remain to be finalised, some of which are indicated by square brackets in the text.
