Parliamentary Committee
Lord Committee
The House of Lords established a Committee to consider BBC Charter Review on 9 March 2005. The Committee is chaired by Lord Fowler and made up of:
- Lord Armstrong of Ilminster,
- Baroness Bonham-Carter of Yarnbury,
- Baroness Gibson of Market Rasen,
- Lord Holme of Cheltenham,
- Baroness Howe of Idlicote,
- Lord Kalms,
- Lord King of Bridgwater,
- Bishop of Manchester,
- Lord Maxton,Baroness O'Neill of Bengarve, and
- Lord Peston.

The Committee held a number of hearings including one with the BBC, attended by Michael Grade and Mark Thompson, and one with DCMS, attended by Lord McIntosh. The Committee also held meetings with Ofcom, C4, Greg Dyke & Gavyn Davies, ITV, Five, BSkyB and PACT amongst others.
