Children and Young People (CYP)

Children and young people (cyp) have their own specific concerns and views about the BBC and are in the best position to comment on the products aimed specifically at them. We have been keen to get children and young people involved throughout the Charter review process and made sure that our initial consultation document and the Green Paper was produced for children and young people too. We also held two meetings especially for children and young people in London and Omagh. The Secretary of State attended one of these meetings to listen to the views being expressed on the BBC. We are keen to get their views throughout the Charter review process.
